The basic principles of Pilates include concentration, control, centering (known as the "center"), precision, breathing and harmonious flow of movement.

The Pilates method can be performed both on the ground (mat Pilates) and with the use of special equipment, such as the Reformer, the Cadillac, the Chair, etc. The exercises in Pilates are mainly aimed at strengthening the core muscles (abdomen, back and pelvis), but they also help to improve posture, balance and body awareness.

Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels and is often used as an injury rehabilitation method.

 

The basic division into groups is made according to the level of the trainees into beginner and advanced. The evaluation of each trainee takes place in the first class, in which the physical condition, the level at the specific moment is evaluated, as well as the goals of the training.
